my garden!!

So I started a garden and had to post these pictures because its working!! Things are actually growing!! :)

A cacoon!!!

Tomatoes...

More of Indee:)

Indee is getting soooooo big!!! She is lifting her head soo much more and starting to smile. Sometimes she can, but alot of the time you can just see her try really hard :). We are soo in love with her and cant get enough of her. She is seriously such a good baby and has been such a blessing to us and our home.

She just had her two week check up and I went by myself!!! SOOOOO sad!! She had to get her foot pricked again for the newborn screening and the nurse doing it was new and training! She was having the hardest time getting blood from her foot and they had to prick her multiple times. Indee was soooo upset! Ive never seen her soo upset!! I thought I would cry so I didnt wear makeup, but instead of crying I was sooo upset with the nurses. ARGH! And then she got a shot! Her first shot! She was so sad the rest of the day!!

When Indee was born she weighed 8 lbs 5 ounces. When she left the hospital she was 7 lbs 14 ounces. At yesterday's checkup she was 8 lbs and 12 ounces:) She is now over 21 inches and is in the 50th percentile for length, weight, and head circ. She is definately growing:) The dr said she is very healthy and her jaundice is looking really good.

We bless Indee this Sunday!! Im so excited for her!!! I think that will be another no makeup day:) lol And she will get to meet her gma and gpa for the very first time. Im soo excited!

Indee always makes this face and it makes me laugh. She spazzes, sticks her neck out and lifts her head. But I love the "o" shape she makes with her mouth!! :) AWW!! I love her soooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!

First day of church

We brought Indee to Sacrament meeting last Sunday for the first time! We had her dressed in a cute dress but she spewed all over it! So thats why she is in the onesie!:) She did soo well, but she is only 2 weeks old:) I think we will start going to just sacrament meeting for the next few weeks. Im nervous to expose her to soo many people in such a small area, so we keep her in her carseat with the cover over. But we will ease into the whole church block.:)

Indee Rae

So we went to the dr's office this last week because Indee seemed to be breathing funny. THe Dr asked if we have asthma in our family. Yea we have lots... He said its too soon to say if she has asthma or not but said that we shouldnt worry. Well, they weighed her and at 9 days she weighed 8 lbs 8 ounces. :) She is definately growing TONS!!! She is sooo fun and such a good baby. She rarely cries! We love her soo much

Introducing our little girl...

Indee Rae was born on July 23 at about 320ish am- 8 lbs 5 ounces- 20 1/2 inches long :) So she was definately a bigger one:) I was afraid the newborn clothes wouldnt fit but they do:) which is good because she has soooooooo many cute outfits:)

So heres the story....

My water started to break a week ago and we went to the hospital, but because it was a tiny tear they couldnt detect amniotic fluid, so they sent us home. We went back tot he drs a couple days later for the same thing. Again, the same thing. That night it got a little bit worse so we went into Labor and Delivery as soon as we woke up the next morning. They said it wasnt looking and sounding normal so they decided to keep me and that to make sure everything is ok they were going to deliver her within 24 hours. I was only at a 1 1/2 (disheartening) so they started to give me pills to try to get things started before giving me pitocin. On the third dose they checked me and I was only at a 2 1/2. More disheartening because I was in a lot of pain. So they gave me pain meds through the iv. It helped for a little bit but then my contractions shot WAAAAAYY up. So I got the epidural (I dont know why I was ever not going to). They checked me an hour after the epidural and I was at a 6. Then a half hour later I was at a 10. The nurse asked If i wasnted to start pushing. It all happened so much wuicker than I thought. I freaked out and and told them I would like to wait. So they came back 45 min later and we started. She was born at about 320 am healthy. She wasnt crying. So they kept trying to make her cry and after a few minutes they gave up :) She has jaundice and has had to keep getting blood tests. SOOOO sad. I cried more than she did. We go to the drs today to see if she needs to be put under the lights. (Sry for the grammer and spelling mistakes... Im not going back and corresting anything)

Here she is.....

Before/ Now

Before:

Now:

Kevin said that he cant remember how I was before being pregnant which, thank goodness, is a blessing in and of itself because then he wont be disappointed when I have the baby! LOL But I cannot believe that I actually used to not have a belly :)

37 1/2 weeks

So Im actually about 38 weeks now but this picture was taken on Sunday:)I feel GINORMOUS and I cant wait to wear my normal clothes again:) I also cant wait to start running:) But the pregnancy has been pretty good. She has been tearing my tummy muscles, so thats not very fun. But seriously besides that i feel great. I have been walking a ton. Shes dropped... I jumped off of a bucket and felt her drop.. lol.. sometimes I forget I cant do normal things (like jump off of a bucket). I also tend to run into everything. I forget how big my belly is. I cant sit up very well by myself which made for a fun laugh yesterday when i was trying to get off of a water float. I've also been wanting to eat dessert all of the time. Before the pregnancy I definately didnt eat dessert like this; maybe once a week. But now, seriously at least once a day! But my weight gain is good. Right on track, so at least it hasnt messed with that:) We set up her pack n play. Kevin wanted to wait to set it up when we got home from the hospital, but I couldnt wait any longer:) I wanted to put all the cute blankets that everyone has made for her out! The closer the date gets, the more freaked out I get. AND I have been freaking out that she is going to be a he. lol. I dont know why... im pretty sure the ultra sound tech was right. Kevin says that I am just finding things to worry about, which is totally true:) Everything is sanitized, folded, organized, scrubbed, vacumed, dusted :) and ready for her to be here:)

So here are all of her headbands:

And bows:

Isnt it nuts? But I love it and cant wait to put them on her... She will always have something in her hair/ on her head!!! I told Kevin whenever he dresses her she has to have a bow.. no exceptions.. lol

Tutus!!

So Kevin and my little sister, Denise, are taking the same class this summer- Multivariable Calculus and the homework takes FOOOORRRREEEEVVVEEEERRRR!!!:) So while they sit at the kitchen table to do homework I try to make myself occupied so that I wont bug them. Today I made a tutu and flower clip for our little girl's first photoshoot! I think it turned out cute and I cant wait to put it on our girl! :)

He always has the best dates...

So a few weeks ago Kevin took me on such a fun date. We drove up the canyon and just looked around. It was gorgeous and such a nice day. Families were fishing, people were having parties at parks, and everyone was just having so much fun. Including us. On our way up to where Kevin was taking me I saw this:

The pony was sooooooooooooo cute and I made Kevin stop so I can take a picture of it!! :)
Then he took me to this park:

It was perfect! There werent many people and it was sooo gorgeous!

He even packed a picnic... yummy sandwiches and fruit!

A small creek ran through the park and so we had to go down and put our feet in it!

Kevin reallys loves taking pictures and he is way good at it! I think hes a natural:)

We bought a frisbee, played a little bit, then laid out a blanket, laid down and talked. I always love when we can just sit and talk:)

On the way home we saw the most gorgeous home. It had a kazebo, two LARGE ponds that connected and a bridge going right through the middle; all in the front yard. It was so green and lusch. Ahhh.. I would love to have that in my yard; to just be able to go out and read a book. Now I just have to figure out how to incorporate that and the beach. :)

My dream home:

Kevin treats me amazing and always plans the most fun things to do! I am sooo glad that we did this!! It was sooooo fun and pretty!!!

Happy Birthday Kevin!!!!

It was my amazing husband's Birthday yesterday!!!

Kevin is the most amazing person ever and I love him sooooooooooooo much. He is the most giving, patient, loving person I have ever met. He is always so willing to help anyone at anytime. He never complains about anything!!! He is going to be the best dad and during his year of practice he was amazing. The two kids loved playing with him and would run up to him every time he got home from work! I cant wait to have that again! He is soo selfless that he bought me flowers on his Birthday! I love him sooooo much and am so excited to be able to spend forever with him. Thank you Kevin for all that you have done and continue to do!

So what happened that day:

He had to go school for a bit, but we started the day off with some breakfast. It was pretty good, but Ive never made hashbrowns form scratch before and those turned out kind of oily :) Then when I picked him up from school, we had lunch, he opened his presents, and we went to the movies. We havent been to a real movie theater ( a nice theater that costs more than a dollar to watch a movie:)) since I cant remember and I loved sitting in the nice seats as opposed to the rock hard uncomfy seats!!! We saw Robin Hood and I totally recommend it. After I made Kevin a nice steak dinner (well, I think it was nice).
Then we did his birthday cake. It was the huge choc. cake from Costco. It's his favorite kind of cake and he is always walking by them when we go. lol. So I started singing 'Happy Birthday' to him, he joined in :) After, I started cutting the cake!

(Kevin, blowing out his candles)

He decided to wipe choc icing on my face so naturally I grabbed some to put on his. He ran but my excercise ball was right in the hall. He had nowhere to go, so he was going to pick the ball up and throw it behind him to stop me but decided that it wouldnt be a good idea just in case it hurt the pregnant girl. So in the midst of it he tumbled over the ball doing a flip, landed on his back and gave himself two charley horses. Im laughing so hard just typing it. He got up and ran to the bathroom, but I was laughing too hard to wipe the frosting on his face right then anyways. I got him a little later since he was okay, of course. He said I was 'banished' from the rest of his birthday. HAHA It was sooooooooooooo fun!!

Happy Birthday Kevin!!!!!

WOW!!!!

So Kevin and I played the blood pressure game again!! This time we did it once while we were bugging eachother and the second while being calm. HOLY COW!!!! My blood pressure was soooooooooo bad. I definately lost at the one where Kevin was bugging me but won the calm one:) While I was bugging Kevin he was totally doing breathing techniques that we learned in Lamaze. lol... SOOOOOO funny... I guess I need to practice my lamaze more... :) but OH MAN!!!! lol.. I never would have imagined mine to be soo high... We are gunna do this again... but next time wait until the baby is here:)

Carseat cover...

So I have been on a sewing/ crochet kick... I have been loving learning new things! I have finally taken out my sewing machine manual and all of the feet to try new things!! I sit and read the manual when I eat breakfast.. lol... It has been so fun.. And Kevin has been such a trooper listening to me talk on and on about what new things I have learned! lol We dont need any clothes for the baby right not (thanks to all the many generous friends and family we have.. Thank you!!) But when she is bigger Im hoping that all of the new things I learn will come in handy so that I can sew her clothes... and save money:)

But here is something fun I was working on and finished... It was super simple but way fun:)

33 weeks...

33 weeks... (I know there is alot of writing, but I use this blog as our family Journal in a way so the writing is mostly for me.. lol.. sorry)

The pregnancy has been good... uncomfy but good... I am having early labor signs, and girls in the same situation usually have their babies within 3 weeks, but there are girls in this same situation that go full term (37 + weeks)... So I really shouldnt be stressing so much lol ... but Im hoping that ours wont come until Ive hit 37 weeks. But Im also hoping to not go over that by too much either:) Im sure every pregnant girl thinks that way. Im trying not to stress about her possibly coming early because I know that she will most likely still be okay, but I cant help but feel nervous. Kevin has been soo nice and rubbing my back for hours on end the last couple days. Ive been not feeling very good and my back has been feeling horribly.

So I talked to my dr about an epidural...I was afraid of one because it can slow your labor down which then you would have to get pitocin, and then the pitocin can cause fetal distress ending in a C-Section. Yea Im not for pitocin at all so I was really afraid of the epidural. So he said that an epidural will slow your labor down if you are not in active labor, but if you are in active labor you should be fine. He did say with epidurals there are always chances that there could be side effects so to try and do it natural but to know that if I can hold off on it until my labor is progressing alot, than it shouldnt slow it down... So Im not sure what Im gunna do. Ill definately go in wanting natural but we will see... :)

Kevin and I think we have a name... but Im not posting it until she is here:)lol

I have the baby stuff finally washed and put away. Im just finishing off some recieving blankets and then Ill have everything for her (I think). But I feel like I have soooo much more to do. My little sister said that she will come over soon and help me organize everything.. Kevin thinks its funny because I am always organizing and than reorganizing. I cant figure out how exactly I want everything:) But hopefully with my sis's help we can get that figured out!

So for the past 4 years I have been a little bit sick and not getting better. SO I now go to a specialist that has put me on a pretty restrictive diet... I have a weird condition that cant be treated until after we have the baby so the best way to deal with it is through food. Obviously because I am pregnant I cant be so strict about it because our little girl still needs nutrients but here is just a taste of what i cant have...

No chocolate, yogurt, fruit (I can have melons- not cantulope-, blueberries, and pears), no preservatives(MSG- did u know its in almost everything- ARGH), artificial food coloring, cheese, sour cream, most nuts, any drinks but water and some herbal tea, onions, mayo, salad dressing, tomatoes... and lots more...

Its been kinda hard to figure out stuff to eat... I lived off of peanut butter and bannana sandwiches and now I cant... I know it doesnt seem like alot but those are all foods that I eat a TON of.. expecially the fruit!!! but only a little bit longer:)

So there's 33 weeksin a nutshell... :)

We already love her so much and cant wait to meet her!

Date Day...

Kevin was nice enough to stay home from school one day to hang out with me! I LOVED it! and know how much of a sacrafice it was for him because he is so incredibly busy with school. But this is what we did...

First we went to Sav-Ons to pick up some medicine. Everytime there is a blood pressure machine, Kevin and I will take our blood pressure and see whose is better. But this is a process. We will sit completely still and try to be sooo calm so that we can have a lower blood pressure than eachother. Kevin said that next time we do it, we will have to try to bug eachother and see who can get the lowest blood pressure then. I dont know why this is soo fun for us but it is..lol

Kevin won!!! :)

Then we went to Costco. I dont even know why we went? I dont think we bought anything, but we did go around and get all the sample foods. We like to always look at the books/ clothes/ tools (kevin)/ just everyhting. But we must have come at the perfect time because there were lots of yummy samples:)

After that... I needed to return something at the mall but we were still a little hungry. So we went to the food court and got a burrito at Taco bell. I was craving an ice cream sandwich and so we went to Yummies and got one. Not worth the $3. By then I was soooooo tired and hurting so Kevin and I rented this movie:

But of course I fell asleep during it. I always fall asleep on Kevin's lap during movies and he always expects it:) But I did watch it the next day while he was at school. and it was cute!

So here was our amazing date on a student budget:) I had soo much fun. Kevin is amazing and I love how much fun we have together:)

Date night...

So Kevin and I went on a date! and it was the first date in a long time... He made it really special:)

He made homemade noodles and made an amazing garlic/basil sauce to go over it! So YUMMY!!!

After dinner, Kevin took me to see a dance performance on BYU. It was really fun to do something different! :) It was a dance group of little to older ages... It was soo fun!!! :)

Just having fun!

So Kevin and I got a camera, but we havent really gotten around to playing with it. So we decided that we would try and use it more.

We are ametuers but we hope to be really good at it one day! :) Kevin is definately alot better at it than I am. But I try:)
So here are some photos we took for fun:

Don't get me wrong, I love missionaries, but they were all sooooooooooo noisy and climbing the temple fences. It really, really bothered me. I know that they are young but the temple is a place of reverence and that definately was not being shown that day. It made me sad but also made me realize how we need to teach our children the respect and reverence that belongs with us when we visit the temple. Even if we are just standing outside of it.

Kevin really likes this picture and I REALLY dont:

Me annoyed that Kevin wants to keep taking my picture when I look and feel like poo. lol

We saw this as we went for our walk:

30 Weeks

Only 10 weeks to go... well we are hoping only 10... we are soo anxious :)

Nothing much has changed with the pregnancy. I now take like 10 minutes to put on shoes because I cant breath when I bend over:)
I have a hard time reaching over to unlock Kevin's door, so space is really running out for her. I feel like she is getting bigger but my tummy isnt. Im sure it is but she is just so squiched in there. Its fun being able to see and feel her limbs.
Kevin and I will just sit there and watch her move. It looks like big fingers are running against my skin:) Kevin said she was doing it alot in a spot that I couldnt see because the top of my belly was in the way. She is very, very active all the time. Makes me a little nervous to think she might not be a good sleeper:) She's definately making it so I cant sleep:) If you cant tell from the sleepiness in my face.. haha... not too attractive. Im sure itll be even more distinct when she is here:) I havent gotten too swollen. I have had swollen feet and calves but that goes down usually while im sleeping, and its not even that bad for me yet... knock on wood. I know people say the third trimester is bad and so uncomfortable but this has been the best for me! I guess that goes to show how bad the first two were:)
My weight gain is on track:) so thats good. Hopefully it wont get too much worse until she comes. I never realized how hard it would be for me to see my weight go up when i am not doing anything...lol. They say that right now her brain is devoloping really fast so im trying to stay really healthy. Im trying to eat well. Kevin and I go to the gym 3 times a week and I try to do alot of walking and some weights. Im trying to strengthen the muscles ill be using most for labor... well see how it goes, but it has definatley helped with the back pain. So if thats all it helps... im totally ok with that. And for all of you who think Im not going ot do it natural, lol, I am. I have alot of reasons for it. But ill def get drugs if i have to have a c-section.
I think I am doing the whole 'nesting' thing. I know I already like things really organized but now its even worse!! lol.. Ive been stressing about our book shelf lately because I have already organized everything. I just keep redoing things or go through drawers and refold everything. lol I dont know what it is but i am getting obsessed with everything being PERFECT before I go into the hospital to have her:) and I still have a some time to go :)
Still no name:(... so sad! Kevin asked me "If we name her and after a couple of weeks of calling her that name, we dont like it, would you be willing to change it?" What the heck? NOOO!! lol i think at this point i want a name for her so badly im willing to call her any of the names that we have agreed on. Im not gunna go as far as to say Id name her anything. I dont know about leaving that all in Kevin's hands... lol.. But I think Kevin wants to wait to name her.. ARGH!! Kevin likes how the indians had it; I guess they wouldnt name their kid until they were 8 years old :)

Lamaze Class

Kevin and I had our first Lamaze class and Kevin thought we should watch this video before we went to the class... I think its way funny... there is a second part to it on youtube:)

So, I was suppose to start them at 24 weeks but I kinda procrastinated. :) So it was Lamaze- Prepared Child Birthing. So basically it is a class that is meant to prepare the couple for a labor without drugs. The teacher doesnt like the term 'natural'. I will have to be hooked up to an IV, but beyond that I hope that we wont have to use anything else:) The teacher was great!!! This class, we worked on relaxation techniques and next week is about the delivery! It is making me a little bit nervous because now I can see an end to being pregnant... I knew that being pregnant meant that we would be having a baby but the whole having a baby part wasnt real to me until now.. haha

So we dont have a name for her but we do know for sure that her middle name will be Ray... we are naming her after her great-grandpas, my Grandpa Perez and Kevin's Grandpa Willmore!!!They are such great people and I wanted our first to be named after them. So now we just need to agree on a first name:)
