Baby showers!!!

So we went home this past weekend for our baby showers. Kevin and my sisters were soo nice and threw them for us.

Brooklynn, my niece, was soo funny. She of course helped me unwrap the presents and in one present there was a snickers bar, that kevin registered for, right on top. She took it and ran. :) Kevin was nice enough to share! She was soooooooo cute:)
These are all out of order and it is taking too long to figure out how to put them in order! :)
But we got so many cute things. Everyone was so generous!!!

I grew up with these two, Caitie and Tiffany. It was seriously sooo fun seeing everyone! We are all growing up:)

This was such a quick trip. We never get to go home so it was nice seeing everyone. We were all so busy so I only got to really see friends and family at our showers :( I wish I could have spent more time with everyone! Hopefully we can come down for Christmas (cross our fingers)

Sewing Fun

So When Kevin takes the computer to school, which is alot, I cant crochette (I cheat and use youtube to teach me:)) and so I try and sew when I get time. This is the first dress I made for our baby!! I know its not great but to be honest I am really proud of myself lol. Im soooo excited for her to be here!!!

First crochet project

So I have been practicing my crochet these past couple of weeks and all I have to show for it is this:
I kept crocheting things, then taking it out and restarting. But this one I think Ill keep. I am gunna do a way cute hat that my friend in the ward made... I just need to do it:) Itll probably take me forever!!! But I am glad I am finally learning something new!!

Happy Easter

For Easter Kevin and I both had the flu... AGAIN! ARGH!!
But we did decorate eggs:

SO....

So I was just wondering... I know there are probably a ton of fun stuff for babies out there that I totally dont know about and was wondering what people recomend!? I already know about the basics that we need (diapers/ bed/ stroller/ carseat/ onesies type of thing) but does anyone recommend anything else that they feel they had to have!!!!And maybe things (like brands) that you totally dont recommend?! If so let me know!! Im totally interested! Thanks everyone!!!!

23 weeks

I know I have been soo bad at blogging!! Sorry! But here is a prego update. Things have gotten better. I havent had any contractions since Monday!!! YAY!! and I have been able to do small things like I walked to Kevin's school to eat lunch with him, did a lil laundry, sewed a lil bit, and just stuff around the home! Yesterday night wasnt so hot though! I feel like my side muscles are tearing apart!! She is definately growing and thats not very fun to feel! When I bend over to pick things up I can barely breathe. I think she squishes up into my lungs! And the achy back and feet have started which makes my nights super uncomfy:) But I love being able to feel her kick and to just sit and watch my tummy move! Its fun seeing her little who knows what poking out! :) She's pretty active allllll the time!! I dont know how much weight ive gained, nor do I want to know!! lol but I dont feel like Ive gained too much! I think I am on track and I try not to eat too too much:) but am definately eating alot more than I used to! I always wanted to wear a bakinni with a prego belly but the other day I tried on bathing suits and now dont want to be anywhere near one, even though I know when we go home Ill break.

(I feel like my tummy is huge!! lol... Kevin was looking at it the other day and asked if having a belly feels weird... lol... It doesnt.. to me it feels the same until I look/touch it!)

I am soooooooooo excited to have this little girl but feel overwhelmed at the same time. I will be home with her for the most part and the responsibility that comes with that makes me soo... ummm... anxious? I am not nervous about the physical things like waking up with her, feeding, changing, comforting her when she cries, I just feel such a responsibility to teach her about our Heavenly Father and why we are here that I sometimes feel like going nuts just thinking about how I am going to do that. I know we played the parent role for a year with Kirsten and Torben, but they were 3 and 5... I feel like I can do the 3 and 5 yr old thing... but our baby is going to be brand new! I just dont know where to start. SOOO nerve racking! I just hope that we can help her learn how to make good decisions and that shell know that we will be there for her through anything and everything!!:)

Moving on... I am sooooo proud of myself!! I have not bought anything for the baby yet!!! :) I totally thought that i would go nuts buying stuff as soon as we found out what we were having. But everytime I go the store to pick something out I cant bring myself to buy it. Maybe its cuz I know with Kevin's schooling come alot of expenses. But Kevin's sister has been so nice and is letting us use some of her baby things!!! :) So that i think helps me to not buy anything as well. But i have alot of material that I got for free so I decided to make a few things...
Nothing grand I know, but for me its an accomplishment:)So I am gunna start simple! I am going to make her skirts and other easy things because I am not great at sewing!! :) and a friend is going to show me how to crochet the cutest hats with crochet flowers!! Im soo excited!!!

Kevin is doing sooooo good in school... I am soo proud of how hard he works!! He even got a scholarship which is such a blessing! And he totally isnt doing it for himself! I know that there are other things hed rather be doing but he still continues to put himself last!!! :) He is the most amazing person whom I love sooooooooooooo much! He is gunna be such an amazing dad!!!

Going Private

So we decided to set our blog as private because we are getting some crazy on facebook who keeps changing their name and leaving threatening messages... so because we have a baby on the way I dont think its a good idea for this certain person to know whats going on in our lives!!! 20 week update

The past week has not been fun! Kevin had the flu and his only lasted 12 hours. I got it and I am just now starting to feel better. I had to go get hooked up to an IV twice becuase Iwas so dehydrated. And it totally sucked for Kevin because he had a test in all of his hard classes. Luckily, one teacher was nice enough to let Kevin skip the test since he was in the hospital with me.
I ended up getting a few contractions and because dehydration can put you into early labor the Dr put me on bedrest. I see him tomorrow and am hoping that I can go back to regular life :) I have been soo bored of being sick!!! But Im definately feeling better and am hoping to go back to work tomorrow:) Cross your fingers for me I really dont want to have to lay down for 20 more weeks!! I want to go shop for our baby girl already!!!!

Pregnancy update!

So I have been pretty sick with the a virus and havent been able to keep anything down. So we ended up in ER twice because I was soo dehydrated. They hooked me up to an IV both times and the first time they also Ultra Sounded me to make sure everything was ok. I asked the Tech if she could check the gender. So she did but it took a couple of minutes because the baby was moving soo much!! The tech and Kevin were laughing because the baby was not slowing down! Finally they got the shot they needed and it's definately a GIRL!!!

Kevin and I are expecting a little girl! YAY!!!! We are sooo excited. I wasnt so sure at first because I was such a hard kid for my parents and I didnt want a girl like me! lol. But I am so excited to see Kevin with his little girl. I know our daughter is gunna be such a Daddy's girl :)
I cant wait to feel better so that I can start making things for her!! And Kevin is less picky with what I want to get her!! HAHA He definately has more oppinions about boy stuff than girl stuff. lol... We already have names but i am constantly hearing other cute names!!! So I think ill have to wait before we officially name her... I change my mind all the time and Kevin hasnt been set on one!! :) AWWW Im soooo excited!!!

So my blogging had been on a hault because first our camera broke and then our computer was acting funny. We went to Chris and Joyce's house this last Saturday and we was soo nice to redo our comp! So hopefully this means that i will start blogging more often!!! :)

16 weeks prego

So I am sure that everyone knows that we are pregnant! We are about 16 weeks according to the ultra sound! Whoever says that the sickness goes away in you second trimester lies!!! lol.. I didnt even throw up until I hit 12 weeks... and then oh man!! But thank goodness for this man!!!!

He has been soo amazing throughout everything. He has done EVERYTHING... laundry, cleaning, cooking... EVERYTHING because I have been soo sick!! This is even one of his busiest semesters! MEchanical Engineering takes soo much time but Kevin always puts me first. He tries so hard to make me feel as comfy as possible. In the middle of the night when he sees me get up he'll jump out of bed to get me whatever i need so that I can get rest. Have I told you how amazing he is? lol.. Seriously he has never ever complained, not even once. Heavenly Father has blessed me soo much to be able to have Kevin as my husband. I love him soo much and cant wait to see him with our baby!!! :) He has already played dad for a year, so I already know how much of an amazing dad he is but I cant wait!!!

My sister wanted prego pics even though my tummy wasnt very big but her you go....at 16 weeks Ive gained 4 pounds which is a little less than I need but Im on my way!! :) I was a little underweight so now I have to make up for it by gaining it now. I just dont know how else to do it though because I eat sooooooo much! and im too sick to work out!! lol but at least i gained something!! But i guess im starting to show because people at church are asking and someone at work was like " I dont know if I should be asking you this, but are you pregnant?" lol.. I should have told her i was just getting fat!!

Christmas

So we went home for a couple of days for Christmas. It was really fun but I feel so bad for Kevin. I was sick the whole entire time due to the pregnancy!!


I feel bad but I didnt take too many pictures of Kevin's family. But here are a couple.

Kevin spent alot of time watching football with his Grandpa. They both love it! We spent Christmas morning with Kevin's family at Danielle's house. It was fun to get the kids running in to tell us Santa had come!! When we took care of Kirsten and Torben we had to wake them up Christmas morning because we had church:) Itll be fun when we have our own to wake us up because they are soo excited Santa came! Kevin was in charge of taking pictures but I think he got side track when all the boys starting a NERF gun war!! lol So this is all I got!!

Christmas Eve we went to my parent's house. It was really fun. Everytime we go over there the kids are always running around, wrestling, and just having soo much fun. My parents TV room becomes a huge playroom with thousands of legos everywhere! Its soo fun. Especially when wrestling starts and then ends with a huge dogpile of kids with either Kevin, my dad, or my brother on the bottom! :)It was really fun I just wish that my other brother and his family could have been there. He had work and had to miss it:(

Kevin is soo good with my nephews. I had no idea where he went and then found him on the other side of the house playing with all my nephews:) AHH I miss them!! My brother and his cute baby!!!

My neices!!! They are soo fun and cute!!! I hope that the fact that Kevin and I both have cute neices and nephews that our baby will be cute too... lol

This is my family!!! We always spend Christmas eve together and open presents. One of my favorite gifts was a photo album that my mom put together! You could tell that it took soo much time. For each of her six kids she got a ton of pictures together of each one growing up and then combined them in an album. So now we all have an album of ourselves growing up to be able to show our kids!

Congrats!!!

Kevin got into the Mechanical Engineering Program at BYU. I am so proud of him. He has been working so hard and studying soo much. Just so all of you know, it's not easy getting in!
So here is the story...
I got the mail and saw the letter. I knew what it was and so I got ready to bring the letter down to him. But then I got afraid that he didnt get in. I didnt want to take it to him if he didnt and ruin his whole week of tests. So I put it up to my lamp and made sure:) After I knew he was in..lol.. I brought it down to him... I was soo happy for him I wanted to cry. Literally I was holding back tears :)
I am so glad that Kevin now gets to do something that he will enjoy as his profession.

Home-made donuts!

So we came across a recipe yesterday nightfor donuts! So, today we made them! Well I did the dough and Kevin fried/frosted them! Yummy!

It's so hard to get Kevin to take a serious picture!! Doesnt his serious face look soo good?

So, ever since we had the kids for that year, I say "silly" all the time. Even when im talking to Kevins freinds lol.. Im such a nerd!

Sqaw Peak- Labor day!

So Labor day we decided to hike up to Sqaw Peak. Kevin was going to originally ask me to marry him at the peak butI got too anxious along the way and wanted to stop. (I knew he was proposing:)). So Labor Day we did it, we actually climbed to the very top. Ok so we saw a dad with his three sons. He told us that there wasnt a trail from where we were and said that you get there by going down this huge mountain. So we did the smart thing and listened to a stranger. I should have none it was a bad idea when his son started to whine and tell his dad that he didnt think it was a good thing to do. We all should have listened to the little boy. HAHA So we headed down a mountain full of bushes and shrubbs. Literally there was soo much. And it was soo steep. We got soo scraped up trying to get through it:) but it was soo fun.It was probably 4 miles there! (because we didnt stick to the trail!) I probably wouldnt do it again but im glad I can say that I did it!

We made it to the top! All in all it took us from 11am-545 pm!

It was soo steep! Every time Kevin got to the edge my heart and stomach would drop!

But it was soo pretty!! I loved it!!!

(I know I look sooo gross but hiking through weeds does that to ya) If my feet didnt hurt soo bad I would totally do it again!!
Kev found this frog for me. I totaly thought it was a lizard but it jumps!!! I freaked out the first time it jumped outta my hands... but yea it runs too! Crazy!

P.S. On our way back I saw and heard something to my immediate right! I looked down saw a sanke and ran for literally 100 feet! Kevin, being Kevin wanted to check it out! Turns out it was a rattle snake that was about 4 ft long and way thick. I think Kev started making it mad cuz it started coiling up and shaking it rattle. Kev kinda jumped and ran towards me:)

So Fun.... California!!!

So we went home to California a couple weeks ago and I am just now getting pictures up. Sorry!

We stopped by Laughlin, NV to hang out with my family. We layed out, went jet skiing, ATE!! and just had a ton of fun!!

Here are my neice and nephews being silly at breakfast! Arent they the cutest kids!?! Im lucky.. all the kids in my family are soo stinking cute so I hope that means ours will be too! :)

Then... We went camping at the beach!! So much fun!!
Kevin was the chef! We had bacon, eggs, potatos! YAY Introducing my hott chef!! Sry ladies... He's all mine!

After one wave, he decided to come in. The waves were reaching 20 ft and since it has been a while since Kevin rode at the wedge he decided to play it safe! I was glad!

California was soo much fun!!! I hope Kevin finds a good job there so that we can move back after school!!

Upon Robin's Request- 4 stitches and a concussion

So last night Kevin planned a dinner/ picnic date. So I got home from work and he had everything ready. We went to the park and ate. Then after we took out our airsoft guns and started playing with eachother a little bit. I shot Kevin and he was going to shoot me back so I closed my eyes, turned around, and then started running. Not a very good idea. I ran into a pole getting the concussion and my glasses tore out a chunk of my face. I didnt see see my face but Kevin just said we need to go to the ER. So I got a C.A.T scan and 4 stitches to close the hole up. It's right on the corner of my left eye. I was lucky that I didnt hurt my eyeball!

But Kevin was soo good. He didnt even laugh! Well not till I was all stitched up and better. I know that had I seen someone run straight into a pole I would have had a hard time not laughing. I think it would have been impossible for me. He kept me awake in the ER cuz I just wanted to close my eyes and stood by me holding my hand. It was a little scary for me cuz i havent had stitches since I was 3 and the whole having to get shots right by my eye didnt help. My dr. was young and thought it was funny when he was saying "ok come here and scoot closer to the needle" He even asked if I wanted to have it stiched up as an initial. He and Kevin thought it was pretty funny.

Kevin dedicated a song to me (after I was better). "Boom, Boom, Pow" by Blackeyed Peas. When he sang me that part he even acted it out. He pretended he was shooting the airsoft guns ("boom boom") and pretended he hit a pole ("pow"). I couldnt stop laughing. It was pretty funny. Im even cracking up right now.So it just hurts to make facial expressions (even smiling, and now I cant roll my eyes at Kevin lol), my head still hurts, I feel a little sick and I am still kinda dizzy. The Dr. said I can feel this way for a week. But I cant work out at all or do anything involving too much movement for a week. Shucks.. I cant workout- Dr's orders!!

Im just dreading the ER bill....

In the picture it looks like i have bags under my eyes but I dont. It's the swelling. I wouldnt let Kevin take a picture of my full so that you can tell the difference of the two sides. Sry.. the no make up and stitched thing is to gross! so heres an eye...

Tuconos!!!

So Tucono's, a Brazilian resturaunt, gives out free Birthday dinners... So we used our coupon for a date!! When they came to sing to Kevin they made him dance and he did!!! He did the butt dance!! and everyone was smiling and laughing!!! Im soo glad I have an outgoing husband.. hes soo fun!!!

The big 2-5!!!

So Kevin is turning 25 on Monday, but because we are both so busy during the week we celebrated his Birthday yesterday. We started by eating yummy, homemade, whole-wheat cinnamon rolls and ommelettes! Then We went golfing!! It was my very first time out on the course!!! It was actually fun and I am sore today!! haha! towards the end I got a lil tired because I wanted to walk instead of getting a cart (wanted to burn those cinnamon rolls off). Bad idea.. I was soo tired and sitting down on the grass while I waited for my turn!

So I always plan stuff to do on his birthday and I never know if he actually really likes it! So I told him Id do whatever he wants to do. I thought we were going to go eat at Golden Coral like he said! But, when I got home I had a new dress laying out that Kevin bought and he took me on a surprise dinner date for HIS Birthday. We ended up here...

It was gorgeous and so romantic with beautiful piano music playing.

It was such a great night!! My husband is the most selfless person!! For his birthday he decided to treat me. Thats not at all what I had in mind but I loved it!!! I am soo grateful for his love, support and hard work!! He is the most amazing person and I am soo excited to be able to share forever with him!!

Our Date...

So Kevin is on a couple day school break!! YAY!! So we splurged!! Saturday we went to a yucky all you can eat sushi bar for lunch!! Eww!! Kevin was such a trooper.. I love sushi and Kevin hates it, but at this place no me gusta either!! Ugh!!

So for our dinner date we bought "50 first dates." Its such a funny movie but I forgot how crude it was. We will probably throw it away. Too bad they have to make good movies bad by throwing stupid stuff in!! But to make up for our lunch date we got one of Kevin's faves Dominos; the whole works: hot wings, cinna sticks, cheese bread, a supreme pizza and Hawaiin pizza(I dont like sausage). It was a great day!! To finish off his break I am gunna try to get him to go to yoga with me tomorrow before I go to work!! I dont want to go by myself and I dont know anyone else who goes to the same gym I do. LOL Wish me luck!!

He starts school back up Tuesday!!
