Thanksgiving Break!!

So, I tend to get a little excited about this ice cream and i poked a hole through the cone!!! Kevin couldn't stop laughing The next day we went bowling and I soo lost!!

Thanksgiving day we went to my cousin's house and her husband took Kevin out on the Razor. It was nuts. There were times when the wheels were in the air!! lol.. Kevin admits it was a little scary!!

Then we went shopping on Black Friday. Kevin got this cool bike!! lol.. A lady was laughing at him cuz he was riding the bike around the store with all of this stuff on!!

He did not get this!! But he did see some Harley's he liked. Maybe later.. lol!

Then my little sister took our pictures... she wants to expand her portfolio!!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He usually does but this year Santa is just doing nice notes:)

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Missa- I found the letters and pictures that I made for Santa in my mom's closet! Kevin- Christmas Eve my dad broke the news

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Missa- I always opened my Aunt Vickie's gift (character PJs); Kevin-Yes!! matching family PJs.

10. What's your fave stocking stuffer? Missa- Santa would always bring gum and I love gum!!!
Kevin- all I can remember my mom putting in them is after shave and deoderant.

11.How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Candy canes; colorful bulbs and whatever matches- I hit disorganization, even on the tree!

12. Can you ice skate? Yes, we ice skated the first time we hung out and my pants ripped!!!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Missa- Kevin "made" vases for me last X-Mas and they are gorgeous! Kevin- Tools!

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Spending time with my family- Kevin!!!

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Missa- I don't think i have a favorite- growing up my mom cooked huge homemade meals all the time so Xmas and Turkeyday are just another meal but more fun cuz all the family would get together! Kevin-"What's a holiday dessert?"

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Missa- Getting together with my family every Christmas Eve, except for this one; Kevin- picking out a christmas tree

17. What tops your tree? Last year it was a snowflake that Kirsten and Torben picked!!! Well, with my help- I gave them things to choose from

21. Do you feel Christmas is too commercialized? Missa- Umm, No! It just depends on how it is being taught!! I think it's a perfect time to teach young children!! Kevin- No. There is not enough gifts!

My heart goes out to the people who have hardened their hearts so much towards the gospel of Jesus Christ. They do not know what their actions are doing and it makes me so sad for them and for our dear prophet who is being presecuted the most. He is such a great man. I am so grateful to be apart of this church and will stand up for Heavenly Father's plan until forever! Please do not retaliate or even speak ill of the protestors to anyone. Be an example. Heavenly Father's plan will win!!! There is no doubt!!! I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I am proud of it!!!

What I did today...

This is what I did today!! Im trying to find cheap ways of doing baby gifts. So it being winter, I knitted a baby beanie, scarf, and little mittens. The mitten's were my sister, Amanda's, idea. :) But I haven't seen hers yet and am sure that hers look way cuter!!

It's fun to actually make things that can be used... lol!! And... I am in the middle of making a dress... It's not my first... I made dresses for school dances but have never used a pattern. My mom taught me how to use one and now Im going to actually put it to use. :) If it looks good I will post it!!

Wall-E

My cousin Brian and his wife Erin are up here going to school. They had extra tickets to a Theatre's Grand Opening and are so awesome to have invited us!!

We saw Wall-E. It was such a cute movie!! Let's all keep our Earth clean so we won't end up like the movie:) The movie was a little extreme but does make you think!! I loved it!

We woke up and....

It's SNOWING!!!!

I love it when it snows!!! You can't really see the actual snowflakes but I promise it really is!!! Guess the kids won't be playing on this today!

It's so pretty. I have been in snow. I'd go all the time with my family growing up but it's so different actually knowing that I live in the snow!! lol


Here's our car!! Kevin usually takes the blue car but one minute after he walked out the door he was back. The blue car won't start. It won't even attempt to turn over! I hope that it's just the cold. Poor car! It's freezing cold. lol But we took this car to school!! Luckily it's all snow and no ice.

Date Night!!!

So last Saturday we went on a date!! We don't get to do that very much because Kevin is very busy. So our first stop was Target. (my choice) We only bought windsheild ice scrapers! but, I looked at everything!! :)Kevin and I sat here for a while looking at a Where's Waldo book!!

He always has to take silly pictures!! Rarely does he take for real pictures!!

Then we went to Cabela's. This was Kevin's pick.

He loved it because they had guns that you could just pick up and touch! This gun was Kevin's favorite!!

And thay had all of these stuffed animals. Like alot of them!! A ton of them!!! I always wanted to see how big a moose is and this will probably be my only chance. I still hope to see one in real life ( but from a far distance away:))

This picture would make more sense if you were able to see the elk's massive antlers!!

Okay this may be sad but I thought this scene was really funny! Probably because I would have never thought to see stuff animals like that!! Right as we were coming up on it I was like "How sad that all of these animals were hunted to be stuffed! Then Kevin saw this scene and was like "Well, would you rather die like this or get shot and die fast?" I thought that was very true!! But still this scene!!

Then we ate here...

It was really fun!!!

Happy Halloween

The leaves are so pretty but they get all over the place! They stick to the bottom of your shoes and then track throughout everyone's homes!!!And they leave our car a mess!!! This picture had been taken just after the car had spent the night outside!!! The leaves are crazy!! But beautiful!

When I got home from work Kevin made me this yummy Holloween dinner!!! After some friends came over and we did Fondue and talked!!! It was fun!!

So cute!!!

Our Fun Date Night

Kevin and I went out tonight to eat and we went to a sushi bar. Kevin hates sushi but he insisted we went anyways. Isn't he sooo great?!?! So we went to this great little place called Yopana Japanese Cuisine!!! I highly recomend it. I got the Flamingo Roll and the Spicey Scallop Roll. I loved trying something new!!! Kevin stayed safe and got the Teriyaki Chicken but he did try my raw sushi with me!!! I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take pictures of my pretty food.:) Kevin is doing great!!! Still going to physical therapy and that is going really well. His busy schedule is still very busy!!!! I have just withdrawled from my classes at BYU to be able to work full time.

We feel it better to put Kevin through school first; although, I will probably still take a class or two on the side. AND.... I quit my job as a waitress (Wasn't enjoying it much. I think I missed my old job, alot). Now, I will be teaching 2 and 3 year olds at a pre-school. I am so excited! I love love LOVE working with children! So I will now be teaching full time!! Have I told you how excited I am? LOL

Kevin is the best husband!! He lets me do whatever I want to him.

We actually watched this Friday night, not tonight!!

I liked it!! Now we have all of the Indiana Jones movies!!This is my extent to decorating this year. I decided to just go with scarecrows

and pumkins so that I can leave it up until I do Xmas!This is my only buy so far for Holloween/ Thanksgiving decorations. I am proud of myself. I love holidays and I usually spend alot on decorations. This year I am trying to be extra frugal!! :)

It snowed!!!!

It snowed! It snowed!!!!! I was so excited and we took pictures but it wasn't snowing enough to take pictures. When it hit the ground it melted. But it has been between 30-65 degrees here. The other day I walked to school all bundled up with a scarf and gloves. Then someone walked by Kevin and I in a short sleeve shirt. Kevin looked at me, laughed, and then told me how hard of a winter I am going to have. Thank goodness for heaters! But I am still very excited for the snow!!!

And... Bruce and Jackie Lang and Jackie's sister, Lisa, came over to eat dinner! We played this fun game and Kevin and I came in last place!!! HAHA I love socializing. It's so much fun!!!

And I got the flu, I think, already!!!! Flu season just started!!! What a bummer, I hope i don't get it again. But when we had the kids, I got the flu everytime they did. It must have been 6 times (not joking). Heavenly Father was really preparing us to be able to take care of our own kids when they have the flu:) Let's hope Kevin doesn't. I have been spraying anti-bacterial spray everywhere, wiping everything down and soaking all of the dishes extra well! He has too much to worry about and the flu will not help.

When Kevin and I were dating we were standing outside my parents house and he danced with me while he sang 'Amazed' by Lonestar. That became our song and we danced to it at our wedding. He'll sing it to me to cheer me up:) If you couldn't tell thats the song that is playing!!!!:)

Keeping In Touch

So, I need to be taking more pictures but Kevin and I have been sooooo super busy. He has a crazy school work load and I am trying to work and go to school. So any extra time I get, I spend with him.

So Kevin's knee is doing really well. He is now able to dribble a soccer ball, but still no running for him! His physical therapist is really nice and seems way good. He studied at one of the best physical training ficilities (Kevin says). I have no idea what is a good facility or not but Kevin should after his 3rd knee surgery!:)

So I am finally waitressing at Spark Resturaunt Lounge. It's a super nice resturaunt that serves the fancy dishes. Its great food and has a non-alcoholic bar. The drinks are way amazing. They are specialty drinks that our bartender and chef put together. If you come through provo you should definately stop by. The people I work with are fun and it is even more fun being in the 'mormon' atmosphere! I plan on taking school off until kevin finishes. With his crazy school schedule i dont know how he would be able to work! I wish I could finish now but we don't like the idea of debt! I will finish when he starts making the big bucks... haha!

It has been really rainy today!! I love it and I hope it stays! I cant wait to have a real fall thanksgiving and a snowy Xmas (well it might be more icy). But I am so excited. I have been making soup like everytime it rains or is cold. I wonder if Kevin is sick of soup?:) But the whole drinking hot chocolate and cuddling up in a blanket is so fun to me!!! And the decorating of course! Kevin isn't into decorating but he is understanding of my needs lol!

The trees are changing colors and it is gorgeous!!! Ill have to take pictures but right now it's too dark! AND... there are new ducklings... lol.. but these ones arent so brave and they run from me!

How Neat!!

So, I got to school pretty early yesterday and they were putting up the flag. It was one of the coolest things I've seen. Everyone was walking and then all of the sudden the national anthem started. Everyone stopped right where they were and turned towards the flag. It was just so spiritual. Isn't it nice to know we live in a free country and that we have people who fight and are willing to fight for that? I love it!!

Heavenly Father does truely bless us. It might not be in the ways that we want or that we thought it would happen, but he truly loves us. Isnt that wonderful?

It's so fun to be at a school that incorporates the Gospel and intelect. I think the BYU bug has bit me!! lol I am learning so much!:)

Soo much fun and not enough study!

So we are playing a whole lot and I told Kevin that everyone is going to think all we do is play. He replied with "They know we are up here with Joyce. They expect it!" LOL

So my little sister, Denise, came and spent the night at our house with her friend and Joyce took us rock climbing up in Rock Canyon!Here is the ginormous rock we repelled on.

Just kidding it's not so high, I am just way afraid of heights. They made me go first! I am trying to smile but it's hard when you feel like you are going to die.

Even another group was laughing at me. They told me "everyone acts like that their first time."

Then I had to tell them it wasn't my first time! LOLI finally made it over the edge. As long as I didn't look down I was okay.

The whole time Denise is like "Just go!" and "Hurry up!" Then on her turn she was just as scared as I was. Okay maybe I was a little bit more scared but she was scared too!
Denise's freind, Alicia, went with us. She went down pretty quick I was surprised.

She is so cute and nice. Kevin is fearless. I swear he thinks he is Spider-Man!

He claims he got down the fastest!

The race was between him and Joyce. They go over the edge like it's nothing.

They are some wild kids. I don't know how much I like Kevin going out to play with Joyce. HAHA

They both think nothing will ever happen to them and that they will never get hurt, so putting them together just makes it worse. LOL

When we got home Kevin told my sister "Joyce and I are best buds!" lol

Then later that night we walked to The Creamery on Ninth. When you cross the street they have these orange flags on both sides of the crosswalk so that a car will see you better. Well Kevin never just grabs a flag and walks across. He always has to use it to flag people through and act as the crossing gaurd. Well, this time he brought a whistle and good thing cuz he really almost got hit by a Suburban that didn't see him. Maybe he'll stop playing in the street, but I doubt it. LOL It does make me laugh every time though. He is so silly.

Keeping In Touch

Kevin's knee is doing really well. It's still swollen and stiff but he is able to walk without any crutches. He has a slight limp but he loves being able to walk. Now he can't wait till he can run!

We started school!! We love it here at BYU! Our classes are good so far and we are having so much fun just being together.

We hope everyone at home is doing great! We miss you all. Especially we miss all of our neices and nephews. I talked to Whitney on the phone yesterday and she was all "Aunt Missa I miss you!" It made me feel soo special lol. We love all of you guys, and we can't wait to meet you Sydney! We want pictures of everyone to put on our fridge so when we have visitors we can brag about our family!! So please send them!

Camping!!!

So last weekend we went camping with Joyce and her hubby Chris. On the way there we kinda turned down the wrong street for a while and saw this house that had a fence made of snow skis and snow boards. Kevin turned around so that i could take a picture. I have never seen something like this. Even though it was a waste of skis it was way cool!We went to Mirror Lake to fish. In the background you can see Bald Mountain!

Isn't it beautiful in Utah?Dave Handi came and taught us how to catch a fish! He was so patient with us:)

Joyce caught her first fish and the first fish of the day, but she wouldn't touch it.

She is so funny. We used worms as bait and she wouldn't touch those either!

I always thought Joyce was fearless but I was wrong:)Sorry about the sideways picture. But I caught my first fish!

But, mine was too small to keep. I caught 3 fish and they were all too small!!Kevin has a fish in his hand. But his was too small to keep too! I think the bigger fish were too smart to get caught! HAHA
